Hi, I’m Magdalene but you can call me Maggie. Once upon a time, in the golden era of blogs (around 2009), I found my little corner of the internet, sharing quiet moments from Michelin-starred tables and wandering into hotel lobbies in Paris, wide-eyed and hopeful.
It wasn’t about the flex it was about the wonder. The scent of bergamot, polished floors, a glass of something sparkling those small luxuries that made the world feel bigger and more beautiful.
I’ve been fortunate to call many places home London, Sydney, New Zealand, Dubai (five unforgettable years), Hamburg, and now Amsterdam. My roots are Nigerian, and my heart has always been curious. Fashion, aviation, and a love of travel have shaped me, but I’m still learning, still exploring, still grateful.
Maison Magda is my homecoming. A space to reflect, to share, and to celebrate travel that feels as good as it looks. Whether it’s a quiet boutique stay in Luang Prabang or the perfect trench coat for an Amsterdam autumn, my hope is that you’ll find something here that speaks to you.
This is storytelling for the thoughtful traveler whether you’re Gen Z and dreaming, or millennial and making it happen. Welcome.
